Dibasic Ester (DBE) is a high-boiling, oxygenated solvent mixture composed of refined dimethyl esters of adipic, glutaric, and succinic acids. Identified by CAS No. 95481-62-2, this clear, colorless liquid is characterized by its mild, fruity odor and exceptional chemical stability. Originally derived as a co-product of the nylon intermediate manufacturing process, DBE has gained prominence as a sustainable, “green” solvent alternative to traditional hazardous materials.
