Flame Retardants, Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT)

VP-M220G Halogen Free Organic Sub-Phosphonate Flame Retardant Masterbatch

VP-M220G is a halogen free organic sub-phosphonate flame retardant masterbatch for engineering thermoplastics. It delivers effective UL94 V-0 performance at low addition levels and withstands high processing temperatures and shear conditions. With ≥17.5 percent phosphorus content, strong thermal stability, and low smoke generation, VP-M220G supports reliable flame-safe formulations in reinforced and non-reinforced nylon, polyester, and alloy systems. Its white cylindrical pellets provide clean handling, reduced dust, and consistent feeding.

Attributes

Key Features and Benefits

  • Halogen free formulation meets RoHS and REACH requirements for safer compounds.
  • High phosphorus content (≥17.5 percent) enables efficient flame retardancy at low loadings.
  • Thermal stability ≥350 °C supports high-temperature processing without degradation.
  • Maintains mechanical strength and elongation in reinforced and unreinforced systems.
  • Produces low smoke and non-toxic combustion for safer end-use applications.
  • High CTI value improves insulation performance in electrical components.
  • White colour and good luster help retain aesthetic quality during molding.
  • Cylindrical low-dust pellets reduce airborne particles and improve feeding consistency.
  • Long 24-month shelf life ensures stable storage under recommended conditions.
