Flame Retardants, Polypropylene (PP)

PPV2-6 V-2 Flame Retardant Masterbatch for Polypropylene (P/Br Synergistic)

PPV2-6 is a high-efficiency phosphorus–bromine synergistic flame retardant masterbatch designed for polypropylene. With ≥80 percent active content, it delivers UL94 V-2 at only 6 percent loading and can achieve UL94 V-0 at 3–10 percent depending on formulation and thickness. PPV2-6 offers excellent heat stability, no precipitation, and clean processing performance. Its imported compatibilizer carrier provides strong bonding and uniform dispersion in PP, ensuring reliable flame retardancy with minimal impact on mechanical properties.

Attributes

Key Features and Benefits

  • Delivers UL94 V-2 at only ~6 percent addition for cost-efficient FR performance.
  • Achieves UL94 V-0 at 3–10 percent depending on PP grade and part thickness.
  • High thermal stability withstands ≥250 °C processing without decomposition.
  • No blooming, no precipitation, and clean surface appearance in molded parts.
  • Strong compatibility with PP homo and copolymers due to imported carrier system.
  • Minimises mechanical property loss versus traditional brominated FR powders.
  • Cleaner, safer processing with low dust and non-toxic behaviour.
  • Effective alternative to DBDPO, TBBA, TBBP-DBPE, and TBC powder systems.
