Flame Retardants, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

PET-55D Microencapsulated Red Phosphorus Flame Retardant Masterbatch

PET-55D is a PET-carrier microencapsulated red phosphorus flame retardant masterbatch designed for PET fiber spinning, filament production, sheets, films, and engineered PET composites. It uses ultra-fine 2500-mesh red phosphorus encapsulation for uniform dispersion, clean processing, and high thermal stability. PET-55D delivers strong halogen-free flame retardancy at low addition levels while maintaining PET melt stability, mechanical strength, and surface quality.

Attributes

Key Features and Benefits

  • High FR efficiency enables UL94 V-0 at low 5–7 percent addition.
  • Ultra-fine >2500-mesh encapsulation ensures uniform dispersion in PET melt.
  • Halogen-free system provides low smoke and low toxicity behaviour.
  • Thermal stability ≥360 °C supports high-speed PET spinning and extrusion.
  • No frosting, blooming, or dust improves product consistency and equipment cleanliness.
  • Clean combustion and stable melt flow reduce filament breakage and filter clogging.
  • PET carrier ensures full compatibility with PET resin and prevents interface defects.
